ABOUT US
Calliope Creative Foundation was founded in the year of 2001 for the purpose of introducing and exposing young aspiring artists to the various disciplines of theater, and to prepare them for the professional theater, television, and film industries--as well as prepare them
for the highly competitive world that they will inherit.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Ms. Lena Anderson, an educational consultant, is the acting President of the board. She has served on the board for one year--succeeding the deceased, Mr. Raymond D. Harrison.
Harold S. Pomerantz, a CPA, is the Vice President of the board. He has served on the board since Calliope’s inception (2001).
Chiz Schultz, an accomplished filmmaker, has served on the board since Calliope’s inception (2001).
Barry Kornblum, the Treasurer and a CPA, has served on the board since Calliope’s inception (2001).
Ms. Judith Beville, Secretary of the board, is a Town Clerk of a Westchester County municipality. She has served on the board for three months.
Harold S. Pomerantz, a CPA, is the Vice President of the board. He has served on the board since Calliope’s inception (2001).
Chiz Schultz, an accomplished filmmaker, has served on the board since Calliope’s inception (2001).
Barry Kornblum, the Treasurer and a CPA, has served on the board since Calliope’s inception (2001).

STAFF MEMBERS
Mr. Curt Stewart, the producer-director of Calliope, has 52 years of professional experience in the various disciplines of theater. Having founded and administrated his theater for twenty six years--producing some of the nation’s most accomplished artists, has prepared Stewart to lead Calliope in its endeavor to train another generation of young aspiring artists in the theater, television, and film industries of the nation.
Ms. Tamaylia Samms, a professional counselor has twenty years of advising and counseling young people in career preparation and opportunities.
She also has an undying love and passion for the arts. She is committed to help Calliope advance the cause of young aspiring artists in the theater community.
Ms. Leah Harper is Calliope’s special jewel. Starting out with Calliope in the year of 2015 as an aspiring playwright at the Frederick Douglass High School, Harper graduated high school, went on to complete her undergraduate and graduate studies. Upon completion, Harper would resume her valuable work with Calliope. Her special talents as a writer and a leader of her peers, Harper has secured a staff position at Calliope. Calliope is fortunate to have her on its staff--and so does the community that Calliope continues to serve.
